Thank you, Plaxo, for finally creating the contact-info-sharing app I’ve wanted for years.
CardSharing is a free app that lets you add specific bits of “work” and “home” info, then share any combination of that info when the time comes. Want to give your home address to your friends, but not those new acquaintances and peers you met at the conference? Boom. Use CardSharing instead of iOS’ weak contact sharing options.
You can share via email, a QR code created on the fly, or SMS. Your info is shared at a randomized short URL which lets your recipient view it in a desktop or mobile browser, download it as a vcard, and add your info with one click to their Google or Yahoo contacts.
Double extra boom. Why it took four years for something like this to show up in the App Store I do not know, but I am supremely happy with this so far.
